Information handled by Tab Recorder

Tab Recorder stores recordings, transcripts, summaries, settings, and recording metadata locally on the user's device. Recording metadata may include a recording name, duration, timestamp, transcript status, and the current tab title or URL used to label a local recording.

Local storage and processing

Audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, settings, and metadata are stored locally on the user's device. Tab Recorder uses bundled JavaScript, WASM runtime files, local model tooling, and browser-provided tools where available. Tab Recorder does not require cloud processing for its stated features.

No sale or third-party transfer

Tab Recorder does not sell user data, does not transfer user data to third parties, and does not use user data for purposes unrelated to browser tab recording, local transcription, and local summarization.
